Sydney Ports discusses port and trade developments with Riverina

SYDNEY Ports has visited the Riverina region this week to discuss initiatives aimed at helping local exporters.

Sydney Ports says the trip involved a local trade forum with the minister for Ports and Griffith City Council. It also conducted a briefing session with local exporters and agri-business on its port and trade developments.

According to Sydney Ports, its infrastructure upgrades and business process improvements aim to facilitate the needs of exporters from areas including Riverina.

It says its Port Botany Container Terminal Expansion will provide additional terminal capacity and better access to shipping lines for the region’s exporters.

The company says the visit was part of its paddock to port strategy which focuses on helping to increase the volume of full container exports from regional areas.
