Shipping Australia to host international shipping meeting

SHIPPING AUSTRALIA will host the 42nd annual Federation of National Associations of Ship Brokers and Agents (FONASBA) meeting in 2011.

Shipping Australia says the announcement was made at the FONASBA 2009 gathering in South Africa in early October 2009.

The FONASBA has members from 43 countries with recent additions including China and the Philippines.

Shipping Australia claims the FONASBA canvassed subjects like the Federal Government’s proposals to tighten cabotage rules and the Pacific Adventurer oil spill.
