FREIGHT forwarding and supply chain management servicer, Damco has selected Savi Networks’ SaviTrek wireless tracking intelligences to ensure the security, visibility and safety of its shipping containers.
Damco says it will incorporate the security technology into its logistics services, providing real-time, automated intelligence on the location and status of its customer’s container shipments.
Savi Networks’ web-based SaviTrek uses wireless data technologies such as GPS, satellite and GPRS to securely track shipments across all modes of transportation including ocean vessels.
"SaviTrak delivers a value-added tracking service that brings new levels of automated visibility, security and safety to global shipments," Damco North America vice president, Jens Wessel says.
