GPC assures Queensland ports transition will not affect jobs

QUEENSLAND’S Gladstone Ports Corporation has announced that it may take control of the Port of Bundaberg by the end of this year.

Gladstone Ports Corporation’s CEO Leo Zussino today met management of the Port of Bundaberg, in the state's south-east, to discuss the transition.

Zussino said the transition could happen as early as September.

The Queensland Government announced the move last month to allow the Port of Brisbane Corporation, which controls Bundaberg now, to be sold-off.

Zussino assured the transition will not affect jobs.
