BCA urges government investment in infrastructure support for shipping industry

THE Business Council Australia (BCA) urges the government to confront current infrastructure challenges in the shipping industry before economic boom.

The BCA says infrastructure bottleneck appeared towards the end of the last economic boom and is set to reappear when the economic growth returns.

BCA claims the state and federal government need to set project planning objectives make better use of current infrastructure and improve on the progress of infrastructure delivery.

According to BCA, improving the infrastructure support in the shipping industry will improve growth of Australia’s economy and population.
